1. Vision 

 

A Grama Panchayat's Vision is the grand dream about what the area should become in the future.

Goal: The long-term goal is to become a model village that has achieved comprehensive and sustainable development, ensuring a better life for all citizens.

Examples:

  • Complete sanitation and a healthy living environment.
  • An eco-friendly village that maintains greenery and water abundance.
  • A poverty-free society that ensures education, health, and employment for everyone.

 

2. Mission 

 

The Mission clarifies what the Panchayat is currently doing or how it operates to achieve the Vision.

Goal: Defining the primary objectives and operational methods to make the Vision a reality.

Examples:

  • Planning with Public Participation: Formulating development schemes by understanding the needs of the people through Ward Sabhas and Grama Sabhas (village assemblies).
  • Efficient Services: Providing Panchayat services quickly to the public through online systems and transparent administration.
  • Infrastructure Development: Improving the standards of roads, drinking water, electricity, public educational institutions, and health centers.
  • Sustainable Livelihoods: Ensuring local economic growth by promoting agriculture and small-scale industries.
